New COVID-19 Case Reported Inside Eaton Centre

There is a new case of Coronavirus infection in one employee of Uniqlo in Eaton Centre. Cadillac Fairview (CF) the owner and operator of Eaton Centre, confirmed the information on Monday. A spokesperson for Cadillac Fairview said, “The client and CF have taken necessary actions as advised by public health by arranging a deep-clean of the client space.”

Uniqlo was informed of the COVID-19 case on Sunday, September 6 and the store immediately closed. They notified Uniqlo Canada and Toronto Public Health about the infected employee. Salina Shairulla, spokesperson of Uniqlo Canada mentioned, “The store will remain closed until further notice as we continue to follow health regulation instructions.” The Uniqlo and Eaton Centre underwent thorough sanitation of the store, elevators, and other places in the mall. This is a quick reminder to stay vigilant in following safety protocols and continue to maintain social distancing in public places.
