Dr. Isaac Bogoch advises students to carry at least 2 to 3 masks

The school is reopening next and there are a lot of health concerns for the students. This school year, social distancing and wearing a mask will be crucial for these students. Dr. Isaac Bogoch, a Clinician Investigator of Toronto General Hospital Research Institute, advises students to carry at least two or three masks in their backpack. It is a necessity to have a backup mask because of the possibility of the mask getting wet or dirty.

Dr. Isaac Bogoch mentioned in Global News, “I think it is really important to have good hand hygiene. I don’t think it is necessary to change clothes and shower when the kids come home from school.” Students should practice washing their hands and using hand sanitizer when they go back to school. He also doesn’t oppose it if the parents want their kids to change clothes or shower after school.

Infected students should not go to school even if the kid is asymptomatic according to Dr. Isaac Bogosh. He also suggested calling Public Health Ontario or primary care providers if the child is experiencing symptoms. This information can help these kids from spreading the virus and also save others from contracting Coronavirus.
