Local pharmacies will offer COVID-19 testing in Ontario.

Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaws pharmacies have recently offered Coronavirus testing in Alberta. In Ontario, Premier Doug Ford mentioned that the government is talking with pharmacies about offering COVID-19 testing. “We’ve been discussing this for a little while now and we’ve reached out to Shoppers Drug Mart, the CEO of Loblaws that owns Shoppers as well, and they’re being very cooperative so I might as well come out and say it.”

With the high cases this labour day weekend, it will lighten the load and help hospitals from testing Coronavirus. Schools and other businesses are also reopening soon so COVID-19 testing will help assist hospitals and other medical centres. This will give easy access to testing especially for people who may have been exposed to the Coronavirus. A powerful tool that will help limit the virus from spreading around Ontario.
