Big Bet – A Korean TV Series Shot in the Philippines

A Korean TV series set and filmed in the Philippines is currently streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.

Big Bet is about a casino mogul who got involved in a murder case, causing Korean and Filipino authorities to follow his trail.

It stars veteran South Korean actor Choi Min Sik, as the big time casino kingpin, and Son Suk Ku, as the police officer sent to the Philippines to follow his trail. Also top billing the film are Heo Sung-tae who acted in Squid Game, 2021 and Lee Dong-hwi from the hit Extreme Job in 2019.

Filipino actor Nico Antonio (also in Heneral Luna) plays a Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) officer who partners with Korean authorities to solve the murders.

Other Pinoy actors in the series are Ronnie Lazaro, Bembol Roco, Epy Quizon, Jeffrey Santos, Art Acuña, Kiko Matos, Rose Van Ginkel, Guji Lorenzana, Babyerna Liong, and Roeder Camañag.
