Ontario slowly reopening, experts warn for a possible second wave of the virus

Although restrictions are starting to loosen up in the province, epidemiologists say a second wave of the virus is inevitable and people should stay vigilant.

The weeks ahead are going to be challenging. Since dog parks, some businesses, and other retail stores are slowly reopening, people may believe everything is getting back to normal again.

However, experts think otherwise. They say it’s too early to tell whether or not the province should continue taking down some of its governed rules in the fight against COVID-19. The only assurance that people can return to their regular routines is when a vaccine is made available.

Will the second wave be worse than the first one? According to experts, if the public will continue to follow strict guidelines on limited contacts, and practising proper handwashing, it can be avoided.

Meanwhile, the government and health officials are keeping close monitoring on cases and situations before proceeding with any major action on COVID restrictions.
