Ontario records highest single-day increase in COVID cases and deaths

564 cases and 55 deaths were recorded in Ontario this morning, making it the highest single-day increase since the outbreak.

The data also shows that there have been 362 recoveries in the past 24 hours. Here are the current statistics in Ontario:

  • Total cases: 9,525
  • New identified cases: 564 (6.3% increase)
  • Resolved cases: 4,556 (47.8%)
  • Deaths: 478 (5%)
  • Hospitalized: 829
  • Patients in ICU: 245
  • Patients in ICU on a ventilator: 200
