A Day with Alpacas at Brae Ridge Farm

There’s something magical about starting the day surrounded by fluffy alpacas. That’s exactly how it felt for Drei at Brae Ridge Farm, where she joined a private alpaca tour that’s been trending all over social media. She had seen so many creators share this experience, and finally, she got to try it herself.

The moment she arrived, she was greeted by Daphne, the queen of the herd, and her adorable alpaca friends. Feeding them was such a fun experience—soft noses, gentle eyes, and surprisingly no slobber! Each alpaca had its own personality. Azelia, calm and curious, stayed close the whole time, while Cyprus, the handsome one, kept showing off.

The farm guide, Penny, shared so many interesting facts—like how alpacas are related to llamas and have three stomachs. She even pointed out that the males and females are kept separate (for obvious reasons). Everywhere you look, it’s peaceful—just green fields, gentle animals, and that quiet countryside air.

If you’re planning to go, book ahead online and bring your confirmation email. The staff are warm and welcoming, and it’s clear they truly care for these animals.

For Drei, it was the perfect escape from the city—cute, calm, and full of heart. A reminder that sometimes, the best therapy has four legs and the softest eyelashes.
