EC Hair Form: How Evelyn Built Success One Client at a Time

At 580 Marlee Avenue in Toronto, the sound of blow dryers and laughter fills the air. Behind the chair stands Evelyn Canimo, the proud owner of Easy Hair Form, a salon built from grit, gratitude, and years of hard work.

When Evelyn came to Canada, she didn’t plan to become a salon owner. She worked long hours as a nanny, then in a salon as an assistant. Her days started at 9 a.m. and often ended near midnight after helping at a dance studio. “I love being busy,” she says. “My brain works better when I’m busy.”

After years of training and thousands of hours mastering her craft, Evelyn finally opened her own salon. It wasn’t easy. During the pandemic, she kept paying rent even when the salon was closed for nearly a year. “That was a big challenge,” she recalls. “But we survived. So we have to give back.”

At Easy Hair Form, Evelyn treats every client like family. She listens, gives honest advice, and never pushes products they don’t need. “I always put myself in my client’s shoes,” she says. “That’s how I know what they really need.”

Her story is one of quiet ambition—proof that success isn’t luck, it’s built one haircut, one customer, one long day at a time.

Today, Evelyn’s salon offers everything from haircuts and highlights to facials and massage therapy. Soon, she’ll even start accepting clients with insurance. It’s a dream she once thought impossible, now made real through persistence and passion.

“People say life in Canada is busy,” she smiles. “That’s true. But being busy means you’re building something.”
