It’s finally happening.
Urbandub, the iconic Cebu-based band that defined a generation of Filipino rock fans, is bringing their music across Canada—and after years of hoping, trying, and waiting, I’m finally getting to see them live again.
Back in 2018, we at Filipino TV tried to bring Urbandub to Toronto. We had big plans—gear prepped, venue scouted, fans excited. But like many great stories, it hit a snag. And just like that, it didn’t push through.
But I never stopped hoping. And now, seven years later, they’re officially on tour—celebrating 25 years of music, memories, and mayhem—and yes, I’ll be watching them live in Toronto, at none other than Lee’s Palace, a venue we originally envisioned for them years ago. It’s iconic, intimate, and absolutely perfect for the kind of raw energy Urbandub brings to the stage.
I first saw them live in the Philippines back in 2009, during a vacation. It hit me on a different level. Their sound was tight, their lyrics hit hard, and the energy was like no other. Fast forward to 2025, and they’re still here—reunited, recharged, and ready to rock Canadian cities from coast to coast.
