In the glow of Scotiabank Arena lights and the quiet hours after midnight, Aiden Lising transformed the chaos of 48-minute basketball battles into single, striking illustrations. A Toronto-born designer with a journalist’s eye and an artist’s heart, Aiden sketched his way through the entire 2025-26 Raptors season. What began as a personal passion project quickly evolved into something deeper — a visual diary of dunks, daggers, and determination. From immortalizing Brandon Ingram’s poster jam to turning a buzzer-beating win into a Miami Vice homage, each sketch told the story of a team chasing glory and a city rallying behind them.
Even as the season ended with a hard-fought playoff exit, Aiden’s final drawings offered closure and pride. A season that delivered 16 more wins than the last became a testament to growth, captured not just in stats, but in ink and imagination. His journey reminds us that sometimes the most beautiful way to honor the game is simply to see it through an artist’s eyes.
