Roger Centre, formerly called the SkyDome, has been around Toronto for 31 years. It became one of the biggest landmarks in Toronto for more than three decades now. Sadly, it appears that the owner of Rogers Centre plans to demolish the stadium.
Canadian newspaper Globe and Mail mentioned that Rogers Centre management is considering to move the stadium by the Queens quay waterfront in Toronto. The redevelopment of Rogers Centre will allow the company to possibly make more money as they turn the northern part of the stadium into condominiums.
Last season, Toronto Blue Jays played their last few games in Buffalo because of the global pandemic. It is still unclear where the Blue Jays will host their opening season if Rogers Centre decides to relocate the stadium.
