The provincial government announced the expansion of COVID-19 testing after photos of a packed Trinity Bellwoods Park surfaced social media during the weekend. Ontario Premier Doug Ford is strongly urging people who went to the park to get tested.

The announced random mass testing is effective immediately. It is most recommended to people showing at least one COVID-19 symptom (Symptomatic testing) and those who are concerned they might have been exposed to COVID-19, or at risk of exposure to the virus (Asymptomatic testing).

The Premier says COVID-19 assessment centres are available for walk-ins and by appointments.

Ontario is currently at Phase 1 of its reopening plan and the daily case count has risen above 400 for the fifth day in a row.
